Job Description

TThe Sales Engineer will work directly with the sales executive and sales team to win new business by executing site surveys, managing performance audits and workshops, assessing solution fit, sharing insight and best practice search ideas with prospects, delivering product capability demonstrations and clearly demonstrating the link between search performance and business value.

The Sales Engineer will have deep knowledge of SEM platforms, tools and approaches.

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and will be based out of the San Francisco area.

Success Profile

Selling to our Target Market:Success selling performance or value-based SaaS applications / platforms and services
Success selling to online marketing groups, ideally the online marketing leader
Success selling to paid search managers, ecommerce groups or analytics teams
Success selling directly to the top 500 direct online advertisers

Supporting the Prospect Evaluation Cycle:
Success executing site surveys to establish performance differentiation
Success managing a proof-of-value session
Success delivering software capabilities demonstrations
Success credibly delivering best practices and thought leadership to prospective customers
Success selling value to executives and demonstrating detail to the users

Meeting the Technical Requirements:
Success working with Search Marketing Platforms
Familiarity with Google AdWords / Yahoo – Bing AdCenter
Familiarity with analytics platforms a plus
Ability to maintain demo environments through the use of custom scripts & SQL queries
Ability to work with JavaScript and Redirect HTML tracking tags
Adwords Certified
Technical proficiency ideally includes:
